An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
