Former Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the 45 sexual offences include:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
